For popular music, are tunes generally written first or are lyrics written first to fit the melody?
Also, does anybody know who are the lyricists for Mariah Carey, Lady Gaga, Britney spears, etc? Or is it actually themselves?
I’ve been writing poetry for some time, but am thinking about transferring into lyrics because it involves cutting down a lot on verse lengths. It’s a bit different to poetry
